Considering they've had bigger leaks in the past, and they work years ahead (I believe they are at least two years ahead), no.
You are insane and have no grasp of the R&D process.
Given the amount of time the sets are designed in advance, an the costs they'd already have sunk into the manufacturing of them, there is absolutely no way they would ever push the release back in order to design new cards.
Think about it, what's worse for WOTC? Losing some steam on the hype that spoiler season would give the set? Or losing like a year of product purchases, players dropping the game, not to mention revenue from large sanctioned events, because they don't release anything new in that time. It's not really even a choice.
These cards were printed in August and September. No undoing that.
Not without ending your turn and letting your opponent also draw the 7 cards
Release date is set and major events worldwide are set to coincide with OGW's release.
There is no way Wizards pushes back the release of the set. It would represent a huge loss of customer confidence if they did.
Even as far as leaks go this is hardly the worst. I remember being only a few weeks past the Onlsaught release and seeing all of Legions spoiled online.
OGW has already been printed for the most part probably. The set will have these cards (assuming the spoilers are real)
I'm struggling to be tactful here...NO.
Wizards, a subsidiary of a publicly traded company, isn't going to let a leak delay a set release. That'd be a terrible decision.
It's a leak, dude. It's not THAT big a deal. These things don't effect sales. the entire set of NPH was leaked and it's still one of the best selling sets of all time.
Good sets and good cards sell packs, not hype. It's one of the reasons I hate spoiler season as it is. All hype does is try to cover up mediocre/bad cards with irrational exuberance. So annoying to see so many people fall for it
Is this real life?
ok that makes sense
The cards for OGW have already been printed or are about to be, the set has been "set in stone" for a while now. There is absolutely no chance they change anything due to spoilers.
They design these sets more than a year in advance to their printing.
They are already printed. Usually while we are pre-releasing for one set, the next is at the printers.
