[Serious]Can facebook see my Google searches? I was searching for a GPS tracker for my car last week and now just totally out of the blue I got this big add on FB for car GPS trackers, it seems like and odd coincidence.

Yes. And if you have the Facebook app on your phone it will record your conversations (not just phone conversations) and give you ads for keywords from your talks.

You haven't for -years-

Now there's just more people doing it, less sneakily.

It's ad tracking, basically your searches get tracked for products and then they return ads on a lot of websites for the same products. Take for example Amazon, when you search for stuff there later on you will keep getting exposed to adds of those items or similar on Google, Facebook, and most other websites.

Btw Facebook messenger is a horrible app to have

Oh alright, thanks, what's so bad about messenger? I don't really use it all that much, my brother is living in Australia and we just use messenger sometimes if we aren't able to talk, because its very convenient.

When you install you give them a lot of permissions over your information, to go through pretty much anything you have typed
