PSA to everyone that Croup Manor is a cool settlement. Not only is it one of the settlements with the most intact house, it is constantly surrounded by action. Super Mutants, Raider Flotilla near by that 2 Vertibirds are patrolling. If you are BoS Friendly this spot is great. Make sure you have defenses ready!

On the Small island in the North East, quest from the Minutemen or if you clear it you get it I believe.

Yeah, its one of the better ones. the worst i've seen so far is the coastal village. you can't take away half of the trees and it has a mostly destroyed house and those big metal crates around that you can't scrap. on top of that, there's a giant fucking hole in the middle of it. I'm planning on moving my companions to a new settlement(its all just them in hangman's alley.) and it will either be croup manor or the light house. (Maybe the beach too, never really looked at what was there.
I'm really proud of my croup manor though. didn't even build any new houses, just fixed the damaged house up.
I used the mod for having robot guardians. When I came back the the local minutemen in the diner were devastated and the bastards were after me. Needless panic and fun ensued. 25 vs 2
It's one of my faves as well, as is the Kingston Lighthouse right across the bay. For me though, Croup Manor can be a little glitchy. Aside from the persistent ghoul corpses, the residents like to stand in the surf at the bottom of the cliff, which is just outside the build zone. When I fast travel there and see none of the 15 of them around, I know where to look. Luckily, they'll come if you build a bell and ring it.
I built a wall around the area and I don't seem to have that problem at all, they even go on the roof and in every room of the house playing pool and shit. I made my very own ghoul torturing dungeon in the little basement floor. I think they go to that area because Synth Coursers and gunners/super mutants attack the area with no quest warning a lot.
I consoled all the dead ghouls out. Click them and type disable which gets rid of them. Also useful for non scrap able debris.
This has been my favourite settlement so far. Every time I travel there, there is fights going on. There is also a random feral ghoul living there. I named him Steve. He doesn't talk much but the settlers like him.
