tfw finally, at 30 years old, finally -- gf
feelbros, I am grinning from ear to ear tonight. I wanted to post here because this sub has been a place of solace for me in recent years, it made the feels more bearable knowing you bros were out there feeling the same feel, knowing we could support each other in times of no gf. I know how this time of year can be particularly lonely. I've been there. All the way through high school, through college, through graduate school, through 5 years as a working adult, I've only known tfw no gf, and it was all I ever knew. After finishing school it got even worse - I moved to a city where I was all alone and it was even harder to meet people. I had all but given up, there was nothing to do but turn all of my focus into my career. I worked on myself, kept in shape, tried some new hobbies.
I thought the reason I could never find a gf before was because I couldn't figure out how to play the dating game, I could never say the right lines, could never ask out or text or call at the right times, am i coming on too strong or not enough, being too honest or too vague? People always told me "don't worry so much about it, the right girl will come along when you're not even trying" and I always wrote that off as bullshit. But it's true. She just came along and it was effortless. But if I hadn't learned many lessons from past failed attempts, and if I hadn't been focusing on my own shit for the past few years, I doubt it would be going so well right now.
I just want to say -- don't give up hope, feelbros. She's out there, somewhere. Stay strong.
