It is bizarre to me how much of a clique that sub is.
Like...it's a dating sub. If you're doing well at dating you probably don't need their advice after you get a bit of experience.
It's also bizarre to me how much of an ass Hog is. When I used that sub (under a different name, a year + ago) he always seemed like a miserable, lonely arrogant cunt. Glad to see his life still sucks!

He's obviously a miserable shithead, the fact he popped up every 2 seconds was half the reason I stopped wasting my time on that circlejerk of subreddit.Though, I have to admit, most of the other regulars suck just as much as he does.

Some of the users/regulars of r/okcupid are just so unpleasant and petty it's no wonder they're single.

I used to go to r/okcupid, but they have this clique of people that know each other in real life and are constantly bringing their irl drama to the sub. It just makes the sub really uncomfortable to read.
As my username suggests, I used to go there all the time. Then I went for a few weeks of hiking, and when I returned to the internet it was like flip had switched. There was that massive cliche you mentioned, seemingly out of nowhere, and the focus was no longer about helping new people get the most out of their online dating experience: it was about dating other people in the clique. I think those few weeks I was gone coincided with one of the first meetups they did, which jumpstarted the whole thing.
