Example of a properly formatted post.

I'm an 18 year old senior in high school who is looking into a composition major in college.

My primary instrument is trumpet (7 years). I've also just started learning how to play piano (3 weeks).

I have composed one completed work for solo piano, a recording of it can be found here

 

My music theory education thus far has been 1 semester of a high school music theory class, and whatever research I have done on my own using the internet.

This knowledge consists of

• Knowing how to identify notes and intervals/chords in treble clef and bass clef
• Knowing all scales and scale modes
• Knowledge of different types of chords (Major, Minor, Augmented, Diminished, and different types of 7th chords)
• Basic roman numeral analysis
