Eerie plains of virgin snow,
Urges me to move;
Wind will shift our tortured keel,
Underlying ruse.
Wisdom earned through epic growth,
Underneath, we bruise;
Tampered poise will never heal -
Scars we'll never lose.
Drawn betwixt a heartless soul,
Chains the spirits make;
Through a clouded lens he wept,
Keeping him awake.
In the dungeon; damp & cold,
Hands and knees will shake;
No escape from where he's kept -
Where hearts & minds will break.
Lost again, a troubled mind,
Tortured by this trend;
Forged in part to ease the pain,
Met at every bend.
Winding through the links that bind,
Hope from end-to-end,
Twist & rip with utter strain,
Unrelenting friend.
Deep inside this treasure chest,
Well beneath the frost;
Heinous gifts are tightly wrapped,
Taken, free of cost.
Left for care with cordial zest,
Path he's always crossed,
Here I've left him, simply trapped -
And once again, he's lost.
