Waiting to go home.
There was once a time when I was young, that all my friends thought I was the one.
They laughed with me, and hung around, waiting for more of that fun to go down.
So with freedom abound, I became the perfect clown.
Days went by, and I continued to dance. I danced and I danced until I lost my colorful clown ass.
When I brushed myself off and looked around, I noticed that there were no more friends to be found...the day I became the world's friendliest friendless clown.
A reprehensity-my chemical dependency, kept me warm and calm.
As the dust settled around me, evil dust bunnies began mocking me, and my upside-down frown turned around.
My mind began to falter-I began to slip and squander. And though there were a few who were true and stuck it through, the few true who stayed by my side...they too, eventually died.
I became a walking corpse with a single order, "give me a life that's a whole lot shorter!"
Time crawled forward, dragging me with it. I sputtered and spat, and I stomped like a brat. But Time refused my sorrow, and dragged me kicking and screaming, into the morrow.
With sober eyes that stung, I seen who I was and what I'd become. I cried and I raged, I screamed and I pled, I burned and I bled.
The damage was done, and so was the fun. For today I am filled with the blues...a empty shell, devoid of love, empty holes, from all of those, that I adored.
I have nothing left and nowhere to go, so I just sit here, and wait to go home.
