Tips for saving money in Copenhagen.
Hi some friends and I are visiting next week (Mon-Thur) and staying in a hostel. I was wondering does anyone have any advice on cheap places to eat and drink in Copenhagen? Any student places or anything like that?
Also any good nightclubs or events that will be on next monday tuesday and wednesday?

In terms of food, there are some buffet restaurants around the tourist areas where you can eat all you want for 90-100 DKK. You could have your main meal there, and just have a small sandwich from a supermarket (like Fatka) for your other meal.
Alcohol is expensive in bars (expect to pay 100 DKK for a cocktail), but you are allowed to drink supermarket alcohol outdoors, though it might be a little cold for this.
Is it frowned upon to drink outdoors though? Seems like it could be an idea to do in a park or something if the weather's not too bad.
LOL! Drinking outdoors is all Danes ever do in the summertime.
Not at all! I think it's a necessity given the cost of going out. I know it's illegal in many parts of the USA and UK etc. but the same doesn't apply in Copenhagen
Yeah, also even if it says no beverages on the metro and trains. You can drink, the controllers will not bat an eye so long as you are not smashing the bottle on the floor. Same thing with busses. Says no drinks, walked on with open beer countless times.
