Maybe Rai's house was already segregated as the forbidden zone when they betrayed and fled Lukedonia, and they thought it would be guarded and draw the Knights so they could easily kill them. They wouldn't know Rai had already returned and it was no longer monitored.

My guess is that their goal was to destroy Rai's father's shrine resting in the basement. There's a reason why they showed us the importance of the shrine during the arch where rai returns home.

I don't think it'll be just Rai. I think Muzaka is going to make a surprise entrance, too. He knows his clan is attacking Lukedonia thanks to the 13th Elder, who doesn't seem to realize, yet, that Muzaka isn't going to just outright try to murder Rai on sight anymore.
And Frankenstein is going to unleash his wrath, too. Master's house was defiled and bitches gonna pay for that one.

Someone came up with a very interesting theory on line webtoon, basically it said that Edian destroyed Raizel's mansion to free him from his responsibility as the Noblesse and to allow him to live his life peacefully among the humans. I think it makes sense if Edian still cares about him. His mansion represent his loneliness and his duty as the Noblesse

It's the same idea as onepunch man. Lengthen the fights between the villain and minor characters to make the mc look as strong as possible.
But I don't want anyone fucking lying here. I know damn well we are all looking forward to the explosive finale of this arc.

In a sense they have to. To compensate how OP and quick Rai destroys his enemies.

My theory is that Edian went there to destroy Rai's (and his father's) shrine that sits under the house. This was important enough to have it brought up during his return home. They even went as far to say that if Rai didn't make it by the full moon then he'd miss his chance for a proper sleep. That could also be the reason for the Lord having an important shrine that was capable of having messages be stored inside that can react to energies.
