IDViking Illinois Review

Review

Finally ordered an ID for a friend of mine. Decided on an IDViking Illinois because it was cheap & it's a relatively close state, besides being overfaked. Below is my review of the ID :)

Price: 10/10 - I've got no complaints here, I paid around $50, which is a fair price for this ID.

Communication: 10/10 - I only needed to email IDViking once, but he replied within a few hours, and seemed very friendly.

Shipping: 10/10 - I'm pretty sure IDViking ships from Canada. Despite this, the ID came in less than 2 weeks. I wasn't in any major hurry to receive the ID, and frankly I expected it to take 3-4 weeks.

Stealth: 8/10 - You wouldn't be able to tell what's in the package, but if a parent or someone opened this and did some snooping, they may find the ID rather easily. Despite this, it was well packaged and I didn't even realize what it was at first.

Photoshop: 9/10 - It looks pretty spot on. There's a slight shadow going across the neck at an angle, but that can be blamed on a bad picture. Overall I'm pleased with how it looks.

Signature: 6/10 - I opted for the free custom signature, and it's not too bad. My only complaint is that the lines of the text might be a bit too skinny, and make it look less real.

Template: 8/10 - Overall IDVikings template is pretty solid. I personally think the red might be just slightly too dark, but in all honestly I'm colorblind & may not be the best judge of this. Other than that, everything looks pretty good. The letters on the ID may be a bit too bold, but I can't say for 100%. The sine waves are very well done, and placement-wise everything is very accurate.

Holos 9/10 - Very crisp, nice looking holos. In my opinion they may not be bright enough, but it could just be based on the lighting it's in as well. Overall very nice looking.

UV: NA - Can't find the blacklight bulb I had laying around. Will update this part when I have a chance to test this. I can however see the UV lines with regular light while looking closely, so that's definitely a negative. Others have said IDViking's UV is very bright and crisp looking.

Material 10/10: It's a PVC ID, so it's not hard to get the feel right. Despite this it has a very nice smooth texture on the front, and the back appears to be the regular PVC face. Feels nice overall.

Scan: 10/10 - Scans perfectly.

Overall 8/10 - This is a very nice ID. The price was right and the shipping/customer service was excellent. Besides some potential color matching issues, and being able to see the UV in regular light, this is a great ID. It will work fine where I live for beer runs and liquor stores.
