Could AI be nurses and special needs care providers for young to old ages?

I was reading about special education and the terrors that can happen. I figure it might be useful to use AI robots someday to be nurses and special needs care providers since they can do that nonstop, won't steal or hurt the individuals they care for, and won't lose their marbles and quit or kill themselves.
