A Man Chooses
I have been working really hard lately on giving up PMO. Over my Christmas brake, (A time I would normally have PMO multiple times every day since there was nothing to distract me.) I was able to make it 13 days. That was so close to my record I couldn't believe it. I had only been able to go a few days for a while before that. It put me down for a while, and I had trouble starting up again.
Now I should probably get to the part that explains my title. I am currently back on a streak of 8 days, and even right now I am struggling to keep going. But when I am struggling, I repeat a quote from the game Bioshock I adopted at my mantra to keep going. "A man chooses. A slave obeys."
This quote is how I tell myself that when I PMO, I am allowing myself to be a slave. I am not choosing to PMO, I am giving in to the urges and becoming it's slave. But when I don't give in, when I stay strong and keep going. That is my choice. Every second of every day, I am making the choice to not give in, and that makes me a man. No longer a slave, but a man.
So remember my friends, "A man chooses. A slave obeys."
