Your Favorite Character Vs Their Net Worth

Your favorite character has fallen victim to the schemes of the Liquidator and all of their assets have been sold. Luckily, all the cash has been handed to your favorite character in the form of $1 bills (US) but in an act of revenge (let's just say through Just As Planned), your favorite character has no choice but to try and Bench Press the collective weight of the cash or something bad happens to someone somewhere. Allegedly. Can they do it?

Example: If Bill Gates is your favorite guy character then can he bench press around $70 billion one dollar bills?

FYI, a single dollar bill weighs roughly .98 grams.

Deathstroke seldom doesn't get the job done, and as a result he's an expensive man to hire. I'm gonna go ahead and assume that Slade, being one of the best and most pricey mercs out there, probably has a healthy metric shit-ton of cash stashed somewhere; or everywhere to keep it laundered. I doubt he can bench it tbh.

Spawn is broke and homeless so yeah.

Harry Dresden is broke as hell but pretty damn buff by the end of Skin Game 10/10

I'm not so sure about that Skin Game

Hmmm maybe... I'm not sure, I'd have to go read it again. Will get back to you tomorrow evening.

Well... My favorite character doesn't have too much development, as she is Vi from League of Legends. If her stuff were to be sold as is in her universe, it would probably be worth some big bucks, and since she herself isn't superhuman (please note that while the gauntlets themselves weigh 4000 lbs, they use hextechnology to feel something like normal boxing gloves) she would probably be in trouble. However, given a little bit of advanced notice, she could break down all her things into the scrap they came from, making it a ton easier. Literally.

Don't all her powers basically come from her gauntlets though? She isn't actually all that strong otherwise. Plus, as one of the top law enforcement agents in Piltover, she'd be decently rich. She might not be able to lift her net worth.

1
Betzlalel•

She still essentially boxes for a living. We can assume she has the physicals of a real world MMA fighter, like Ronda Rousey. She probably isn't paid a whole lot (since she isn't a detective and causes a lot of destruction) and seems to spend all her money on doughnuts and upgrading her gear. As I said earlier, her stuff is worth a whole lot as is, but can be disassembled to decrease its value.

1
FreestyleKneepad•

I love you and your taste in characters and your face. I dunno if the disassembly is going to affect the price much, quality parts would go for a good amount in Piltover.

1
Betzlalel•

It would help, but you're right in that she's still probably going to be buried under a mountain of dollar bills

I think so. Mr. Clean is owned by Proctor and Gamble, and they are worth quite a lot. However, he can move the sun out of the sky, which is more massive than any amount of money we can make on earth. So he should be OK.

Also, all the money might be pretty clean after that. Kind of a nice side effect.

Maggruber•

How would you go about calculating their worth? I'm not really sure how to a number on Chief.

2
Fr33zyB3ast•

I don't think Chief even has any assets in his name, so he wouldn't have to bench anything. Now if his assets included his standard gear, I don't think he could manage that, but since we have no idea how much his gear costs we can't really know for sure.

2
Maggruber•

The armor originally cost "as much as a small starship" but recent advances in technology has cut down the cost to a fraction of that. There's also the issue of the UEG's economy being a little weird. Glassing planets actually did humanity a favor by recirculating a fuck ton of raw materials just waiting to be scrapped. The fucked up part about it, is that for every piece of slagged material that they salvage, a trace amount of organic substance can be found. Atomized bits of human beings, recycled for the purpose of rebuilding civilization. Fucked ain't it?

DirectlyDisturbedOP•

Disturbing but fairly poetic

I wad thinking people would guesstimate. Chief is interesting to me as well thiugh because I have no idea if he's even paid. I've always seen him as being an asset of the UNSC, similar to a Sabre or something, rather than a paid soldier

1
Maggruber•

He could retire at any time, or request an officer's commission. The thing is he has no intention of leaving active duty for as long as he can maintain his abilities, which for the foreseeable future is a long ass time. There have been Spartans that live off of civilian payrolls and make a salary, but for the moment the only thing he can truly claim ownership of is his armor, but even that is questionable.

MrMark1337•

Well this is a bad time for Deadpool to be rich

2
VindicationKnight•

The value of the Doctor's assets is incalculable by the standards of multiple intergalactic civilizations, there is literally no amount of money presently existing that can accurately compare with the contents of his pockets, let alone the TARDIS. The man is effectively a walking post-scarcity society.

So he either gets crushed under the weight of all that cash or is lifting nothing? Maybe both at once. :P

Edit: Unless your judging him by the standards of Gallifreyan society in which case he's usually the social equivilant of a hippie in a broken down old camper van,

Spider Jerusalems worth by the end of Transmetropolitan is likely in the millions. He was broke as a joke at the beginning but we see his fame as an author and journalist skyrocket to previous levels over the course of the series and his writings are viewed (and purchased) by millions.

He is also a regular man. He dies under the weight

Vegetto should have the strength to bench the Brief's wealth. Probably.

Archer can definitely pass this challenge. Pre and post Vice.

Cell owns literally nothing, unless you count the Cell Games Arena but that was destroyed. So, Cell has to bench press nothing. However, as soon as he finds out something will happen to someone in the world, he refuses to bench press nothing because he's an asshole.

0/10 Cell

Accelerator is quite rich from level 6 shift, all other experiment and all those passive-ish income from being level 5. But it shouldn't be too much problem for him to lift if he has power. Without power he have trouble sustaining his own without crutch IIRC. He may not be able to lift it.

Korra doesn't actually have any money, so she'd be fine

1
0wngoal•

Batman's net worth is 6.9 billion dollars which would end up being 7453 tons. I think he dies.

1
MichaelJahrling•

Saber is a freeloader in Fate/stay night so I guess she would do well.

1
Okhlahoma_Beat-Down•

Look, you're asking a marginally strong English bank robber to lift well over the several billion he's stashed in his offshore account, plus however many million he has to spend.

Hoxton'll drop it, then Chains'll tell him to get the fuck up and he'll be fine again.

1
NotQuiteSane42•

L's exact net worth is unclear, but we know he is stupidly fucking rich. Considering that he's just a normal human (with maybe a little extra strength/durability courtesy of anime physics), he gets crushed.

Cooper1590•

Soooooooo how much do you reckon a giant robot 3 times the size of the universe is worth?
