The mask

They say she's to young to understand

how cruel this world can really be

So everyday she puts on a mask

and nobody ever sees

The tears in her eyes

through the smile on her lips

It's become such a habit

sometimes neither does she

Sometimes she longs To drop the mask

But it's been part of her for so long

Without it she's not sure who she's gonna be
