Why do you personally hate all travellers

No, that would be foolish. I would like them to start paying taxes and become fully fledged citizens.
Some of our finest political representatives above in de Dail at the highest levels of citizenry are averse to paying taxes.

No. You know what I meant. I'm not getting into autistic arguments.

no, just the majority, people will say "oh how can you generalise" but when you had numerous experiences with them all being negative you can't really be expected to hold them in high regard and assume they are wonderful when evertime you interacted with them it was trouble
I used to live next to a halting site. Fucking nightmare. Always fighting, breaking shit, burning shit, stealing shit and trying to scam people, especially the elderly.
I know you aren't supposed to paint a whole group with the same brush but when you've never come across a nice one what else are you supposed to think?
I don't hate them, though I've noticed the vitriol that you talk about in this sub. I've tried to counter it a few times. It always results in the same thing, an inbox full of hate (it's full of anti-traveller hate right now).

No. I would love them to engage with the state more though. Especially with regards education. Every Irish citizen should finish school. A few of the lads in my year in primary were travellers. Nice lads, absolute nutters that went missing for months without question and once the end of sixth class came around that was it.
Quite sad actually. Whilst we where celebrating finishing primary and full of excitement about entering secondary, one of the lads was visibly upset. He wasn't going to see his pals anymore and adulthood beckoned. It was the end of his childhood. I think about him sometimes. I hope that he's doing well.
Wouldn't say I hate them. But unfortunately, you just have to watch yourself.
This isn't entirely their fault, they get a lot of stick from society at large - being refused entry to schools, congregations (one of my earlier memories is hearing a local parish priest refuse a school place to a traveller, back when they had that kind of sway). If society gives you enough hassle, you end up disengaging and mistrusting it. It's a hard cycle to break out of.
The things that's the biggest shame is, in the meantime you just have to watch yourself if they're in the area. Just because it's a sad fact of life doesn't mean it isn't a fact of life.
This isn't entirely their fault
Yes it is. They are not children nor retards. They must be held accountable for their own actions.

The state affords them free housing, tries to cattle products them into staying in education, decent levels of social welfare benefits, goes out of its way to provide maternity care when they leave hospital too early etc.
They are not being asked for much. Just to keep their criminality in check. Hey, if they want to stay in education and start becoming fully fledged tax paying citizens too, that would be lovely jubbly.
I don't hate them at all, but peoples fears of them are totally justified. I hate the PC world we live in now where you can't speak common sense without being called a racist.

I hate them all, every last single one of them.
They come over here, they're fat, they're loud, they're annoying.
Always going on about their culture or something.
The Germans are the worst but the Americans aren't too far behind.
