Forgive and Forget

The knife that cut me
Falls from his hand
His bloody fingerprints
Left as evidence 

Pain unbearable 
Inside and out
Covered in my blood
He asks for a hug

"Forgive and forget"
 His words echo
 Through
 My head

This time
I turn my back
And he serves 
The final blow

With my heart 
My fear 
My pain
Stop
