First post, thought I'd share my progress so far this year.
When I stepped on the scale at the beginning of this year, I weighed the heaviest I've ever been: 225lbs (102.3kg). So, I've begun once again on a path to get myself healthy.
A little about me:
Age: 20
Sex: Male
Height: 5ft 9in (1.75m)
To help with my weight loss, I've begun logging my weight every morning, and using excel to to look at a few interesting trends. I'll post it here in case anyone wants to use it or follow my progress.

Good luck! I am also a 5'9" male, but I'm in my 40s. I went from 209 to ~160lbs. I think it took me about 6 months to lose the weight. I have kept it off for a few years now.
I know you did not ask for advice, but I am going to offer a few points.
If you are starting to exercise, start slow, but set goals. If you start too quick you can injure yourself, and that is discouraging. But if you do not set goals, then you might not push yourself to improve. I think fitness should go hand and hand with weight loss.
Count more on diet, than on exercise, to lose weight. So do not binge eat after a good workout. While we are on diet, cut out pop/soda. It is just not worth the calories.
Finally, once you lose weight, treat yourself. I promised myself a set of Oakley's if I got down to 165lbs. The week I hit my goal weight, I went out and ordered them. It felt great.
Good Luck!
Advice is always welcome! I'm going to my universities rec constantly, pretty much just to use the treadmill. I've even started taking my lunch to school with me, which seems to help me stay under my calorie goal (tracked on mfp). And yeah, last time I tried to lose weight, I cut out soda completely (when I was 17-18) and dropped from 200lbs to 165lbs in about 3 to 4 months, no other change. Definitely giving up on my daily can of coke!
And right now, I've promised myself some tats or piercings (never done either) if I lose enough.
