The Roughly Street Tier Tournament: Round 2

#Overview:

Now that we're at round 2 I should talk about some other things.

Firstly if you lose once you aren't gone forever! You have a chance to return in the losers bracket which I'm calling Limbo

So like always, This tournament will be debate based. Me and two other judges (/u/shadowsphere and u/rd1027) will come to a conclusion on each fight based on the arguments brought up in the mini thread, Up-votes do not matter.

Each Round will last a week and be posted on Thursdays and if a character has no arguments then they lose by default

#General Fight Rules:

  • Fighters will be In-character

  • Fight to death or incapitation

  • In-capitation will be defined as being unable to fight for 2 minutes

  • No Battle Field Removal

  • Versions of the character will be said in their fights mini thread

  • Fights will take place in an Empty school Hallway

#Guts vs Spider-Man

 

Battle Stipulations:

  • Spider-Man is his standard 616 version

  • Guts is as he is during the Black Swordsman arc

  • No Berserker Armor for Guts

No Berserker Armor means Guts gets destroyed. Spiderman is simply too fast and hits too hard for Guts to counter it with his base speed. If he had his Berserker Armor, it might be a bit more fair due to the speed boost, but base Guts is simply too slow to tag Spidey.

While I agree Black Swordsman Guts stands little chance against Spidey, this id a huge exaggeration. Spiderman gets tagged by people much slower than Guts all the time, and Guts can still essentially one-shot Peter with the Dragonslayer. Depending on the environment (close quarters lean it much further towards Guts), I'd call it 7-8/10 for Spiderman.

The environment is a school hallway. So a relatively closed fighting area.

Spiderman gets tagged by people much slower than Guts all the time

Only if it's a non-fatal or purely blunt force attack

He will occasionally get hit by punches, kicks or whatever, because either him or the writers don't care. But hardly ever you will see him not dodging a blade swing, lasers or bullets.

Spider-man gets fucking tossed. He has no durability to swords, so obviously he'd get stomped. Peter is too slow, too weak, etc.

#Batman Beyond vs Heihachi Mishima

 

Battle Stipulations:

  • Batman Beyond is his DCAU version

  • Heihachi is a composite of his game and the two animated movies

Heihachi survives that point-blank explosion IIRC, he's insane. Breaking-a-tomahawk-with-your-teeth insane.

Mishima totally takes this fight

Batman is also insane. He can lift I-beams, lift large ceiling lights, and move v=boulder while underwater. He's survived a high fall and is fire proof

Terry is also a HtH expert (although not on par with Bruce) and regularly fight metahumans with enhanced strength. Finally, there's all of his gadgets tat are listed in the RT

#Jason Voorhees vs Kyrie Ushiromiya

 

Battle Stipulations:

  • Kyrie has her human world abilities

  • Jason is a composite between the Friday the 13th Movies and Comics

Well because I have no idea who Kyrie is, I'll just do a general list of Jason (warning, the following will have NSFW images)

Strength

Durability

Speed

Skill

  • Pin point marksmanship, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

  • Is a master at stealth, hunting people, and because of Freddy has the intelligence of a normal person

  • Is willing to use his environment to his advantage (like disabling power and setting traps)

So a 15-30 tonner with an unbreakable weapon, regeneration, and insane durability

Depends on envy levels since Kyrie draws her power based on how much more she's been envious compared to her opponent.

Kyrie has non-stop envy for 18 years of every hour of every day for every month for every year for those 18 years (for some retarded reason), so any diluted emotion or one that's stained by other thoughts makes that same envy much, much weaker- it's basically amount + purity, and I doubt anyone's is as pure as Kyrie's, plus Jason's "envy" can be confounded with lust, wrath, etc, so the 1/500 speed world would still apply.

However, Kyrie is human, perhaps moreso than any person in this entire tournament- once she runs out of bullets she can't do much aside from try to beat him with her shotguns, which... probably wouldn't work very well even if Jason moves like molasses.

I'm not sure if you meant to reply to me or the other guy, but yeah. I just wasn't sure how much envy Jason had as I'm not overly familiar with that character.

As Jason seems to have experienced more rage/vengeance than anything I'd say Kyrie wins. Eventually.

Maybe she could dig a hole and bury him underground to keep him there for 2 minutes.

I meant to reply in the sense that we can't look at it in strict terms of a time period- it has to be Envy, and it cannot be interrupted or intersparsed by anything else... mostly.

So the round begins with them facing each other. Kyrie's powers activate and slow Jason to a crawl (even at the lowest a speed decrease makes Jason slow as hell), then she just unloads on him and waste all of her ammo. After that fails, she beats him with the shotgun until it breaks on Jason's durable body. Then they're both stuck in a hallway until Kyrie dies from starvation and/or dehydration

Unless u/Motionstopman wants to take Jason's molasses-slow speed as enough an incap then... more or less. Up to him.

If they're allowed to leave the hallway, Kyrie can just go eat and drink or something and then come back before Jason's moved, like, at all.

If not, I guess it's like a human vs a brick wall. So unless being (almost) unable to move counts as incap Kyrie dies eventually I guess lol.

as much as people complain that saitama is not the sort of character that's appropriate for this subreddit, I feel like every character from umineko is like that except worse

Well, Jason envied and always wanted to be a normal boy and have a normal life. He's wanted that for well over 30 years. However, his unyielding rage would probably mess with the envy thing

  • Iron Fist is his standard 616 version

  • Akiha is as she is during Melty Blood

You should obviously trust me since I know nothing about Akiha Tohno.

While that feat is impressive, it's sorta irrelevant considering Akiha can kill him with just a glance almost instantly.

I feel as though Akiha completely out classes everyone in this bracket besides Batman and maybe Spiderman based on compatibility alone.

Iron Fist doesn't have the durability to suggest he can survive being plundered by Akiha, and he doesn't have the speed or stealth necessary to avoid her field of vision and get a jump on her.
