Numerous Shutting Down on May 1

I'd never even heard of this before to be honest.

I got this for the Apple Watch complication, it never worked so no loss to me.

Well this is weird! (1) I'd never heard of this app before (2) I was just thinking that something like this would be neat (3) Now I'm sad about something going away that I never even knew existed.

I feel like I learn about a lot of apps because of their shutdown notices. I wonder if a 'new coke' marketing strategy might be a good idea...announce your shutdown, get publicity, announce miraculous change of heart?

Anyone aware of alternatives?

I used this app for a few things a year ago (mostly countdown timers for games/shows I was waiting on), but the use base never seemed very large. Kind of sad, because I liked using it sometimes.

That sucks - last week they announced that they were removing the bank account balances feature (arguably the most notable feature of the app), and today they announce the entire app is going away.

I just looked it up on the App Store and it looks like a really cool aggregator for all the important numbers you want to track. Love the idea! I'm going to use it until it goes away!

So far 2016 is the year that is killing lots of services and apps. I guess it was gonna be something I use everyday...

Can anyone recommend a countdown app? That's really the only feature I used of this app to know how many days left until the semester ends. I just need to select an ending date and have it show me the days till then. Filtering out weekends and selected days are a plus but not a necessity.
