Join the what?

A little while ago I set up an (unofficial) Minecraft server for the reddit/snoonet IRC vegan communities. So far, a few of the IRC regulars have joined the server, but we have room for a lot more people!

The server is a standard whitelisted server with a few additions/modifications, like:

• A Pig Island biome.
• Veganized recipes for items that can normally only be obtained by killing friendly animals.
• A /bed command that teleports you to the bed you last slept in.
• An online worldmap.
• A 1/1 vegan/player ratio.

How do I join?

If you'd like to join the server, please apply here, so I can add you to the whitelist! If you want to play with non-redditor friends, feel free to include them in your application. You can send me a PM if you'd prefer not to have the required information publicly visible on reddit.

Rules

To keep the server enjoyable for everyone, there's a few rules:

• No stealing/griefing/trolling. PVP is enabled so people have the option to battle if they want to, but killing players without their consent is bad manners.

• Don't build machines that spawn lots of entities. This can cause performance issues.

• Don't build your base too close to spawn. There's a Minecart rail to Sakarsville, where most players live. Feel free to move in, or to build your base anywhere else, but please keep the spawn region available for community builds.

• Use common sense.

I hope to see you on the server! Questions and suggestions are very much welcome.
