As an Astros and Mets fan... I like this.

What do they measure this on?

Here is the full article that the graphic is from. Major league core, prospect rankings, and contracts are all considered, not sure what else. Teams ability to spend is not considered.

"Their time is now. They're the team in the sweetest spot, and they haven't even waggled their big-market powers yet. Once the winning becomes expected and the crowds keep showing up, we'll see the Astros as a loaded team that can also spend. Which is scary."

That's so unbelievable to me that someone can write that and not be too crazy. I'm ready for this shit.

Good times are ahead. I miss being the underdog, but dang all this love sure is refreshing

As a mariners fan, after last year i dont trust these rankings all.

Edit: last year when we had a ton of people injured, sick or just straight underperform, i can see how people and journalists see the team now but we are actually going into 2016vwith a better team than 2015 aka the "mariners should win the division" year

I wasn't really directing my post only to this, but I completely understand your point

Oh i was actually just trying to say remain cautious and dont let the hype get to you too much. Itll be much less of a "crash" if things DO go wrong. Learned the hard way last year ;_;

Im pretty sure safeco is built on indian burial grounds.

As a Houstonian, neither do we. Texans in 2013 were supposed to win the Super Bowl, we went 2-14. The Rockets this year were supposed to be legit title contenders. And SB last year mocked our backwards team building and pegged us for last place again.

Long story short, that is why they play the games. We have maneuvered well, now we have to execute.

Went to the comments of that article expecting to see Rangers fans crying, I was not disappointed. It's like they want everyone to tell them they are the best ever all the time.

Rag fans' tears sustain me.

Look at us, bb. Started at the bottom, now we here.

The first year we did this, the Astros were way, way, way over to the bottom right. You could barely see the logo, and they were supposed to represent a team with gobs of young talent whose time wasn't here yet

Shouldn't they have been way, way, way over to the bottom left?

1
JrpgGamerOPOswalt•

Yeah you are correct. It was all the way to the bottom left

Here is the progress year by year.

2014
2015
2016

Nice turnaround
