[Edit]
There is not a single word
in the English, Spanish, Arabic,
or any other dictionary
in the observable universe
to describe the way I [used to] feel.
If there was such a word,
it would carry with it
the energy of every photon
from every star
in every galaxy
from here to the Pillars of Creation.
If there was such a word,
it would carry with it
the feeling of comfort,
the feeling of shared silence,
knowing that the one you are with
understands the silence as well.
If there was such a word,
it would carry with it
the feeling of acceptance,
the feeling of being good enough,
knowing that no matter what you do,
someone is there for you.
If there was such a word,
it would carry with it
the feeling of stability,
the feeling of unwavering security,
knowing that in the darkest of times,
there is a light beside you.
If there was such a word,
it would carry with it
the feeling of companionship,
the feeling of resolute commitment,
knowing that wherever the winds took me,
I was not alone.
If there was such a word,
it would carry with it,
the feeling of certainty,
the feeling of shameless conviction,
for when the question arose,
"what would you do without me",
there was no answer,
for there was no conceivable scenario
in which this was true.
If there was such a word,
it would carry with it
the feeling of trust,
the feeling of utmost vulnerability,
knowing that if I left my back exposed,
it would not be stabbed.
If there was such a word,
it would carry with it
the energy of every photon
from every star
in every galaxy
from here to the Pillars of Creation,
only the smallest fraction
of how much I [used to] love you.
