New to Happy Street? Here are some tips.

Hello, I'm ThreeEcho7 in Happy Street. I've been playing for about a year now and I've learned some things that might help people just starting out. A lot of my tips are opinions, not definite ways you must play the game, so keep that in mind.

  • Flooz: You can get them a number of ways.

    • Every day you get a free token to use at the Lucky Spin which will earn you at least one Flooz, sometimes two, three, or five...I have never won more than that (the maximum is supposedly 200). You can make tokens at the workshop but it takes four moonstones, 2 blue dyes, some water, and a lonnnng time, so it's not really worth it unless you have a lot of those and nothing else you need to make.

    • You can win a Flooz with a level one Fortune Wheel or a token with a level two Fortune Wheel. You can win two Flooz with a level three Fortune Wheel, but it's actually really hard, so you are actually better off keeping your Fortune Wheel at level one or two. You also get more frequent spins with level one or two. Just an idea.

    • Sometimes Pepin will offer to buy some of your inventory and sometimes offers a Flooz with the price. You have some time to decide if you want to sell (sometimes too much time, like hours and hours) before he will ask to buy something else. If you need the things he is asking for or his price isn't great don't sell to him. Unfortunately you can't simply decline to sell, you have to just wait him out.

    • Every day you can watch up to 20 ads for 1 free Flooz each. Go to Menu>Shop>Flooz>Free Flooz (the one with the movie clapboard icon). I don't actually watch the ads because they are annoying...they range from 10 to 30 seconds long usually so I just set my tablet down for a sec. Doing this method can get you 20 Flooz per day.

    • The first three people you visit per day gives you one Flooz each (doesn't take from their inventory, the game just gives you the Flooz). The fourth visit and beyond gives you coins.

    • You can download apps or games to get free Flooz, but since I don't want to fill my tablet with junk I have NEVER done this.

    • You can buy Flooz from Godzi Lab, but it costs real world money. If you like the game you can buy 50 Flooz or 80 tokens to get rid of the ads, and I think that is worth it just for that. That is the only thing I have ever bought in the game with real money.

    • Eventually you get access to the mountain and build a train station which you can load with supplies. Full loads give you a ton of coins, some stars (experience points), a character card (for use on special items) and a Flooz.

  • Moonstones: you have to be on the actual Happy Street when the moon is rising to catch the full moon to get a moonstone. If you see the sky changing from day to night stay stay on Happy Street or go there. Sometimes it won't rise full, so you won't get a moonstone anyway. Moonstones are worth 100 coins but since you can't buy moonstones, only sell them, and since you need them for things I don't recommend selling them ever, even if you have a lot of them. If you have a few businesses you get more money from waiting a few seconds on Happy Street than you do from selling a moonstone, so just keep them until you need them.

  • Sunrays: Similar to moonstones, you have to catch the sun as it's rising on Seaside Street (available after level 25). If you are on Happy Street and see the sky turning from pink to purple and to blue go over to Seaside Street and wait for the sun to rise. Unlike the moon the sun always rises full and you are always able to get a sunray if you catch it rising.

  • Expanding land: Since you can use coins on Happy Street to expand the land avoid using Flooz since they are harder to come by and the only way to buy other things. Expand land in the forest, mountain, cave, and beach only as much as you need to have a decent amount of trees, rocks, iron, etc., otherwise you will have a huge amount of space that you wasted Flooz on.

  • Don't use Flooz to speed up anything. It's better to just wait a few hours for a business or house to finish building than waste the Flooz.

  • You can use a fertilizer in the woods to get extra mushrooms and flowers if you are low on them. Usually I have enough of those to not need to use a fertilizer but sometimes I have run low. The fertilizer does not work on the mountain to get edelweiss flowers. You can use it there but it doesn't do anything and is just a waste. I wish they made the game so you couldn't even use it there.

  • Always be making something in the studio, workshop, etc. if you can, even if it's just wood planks. Don't let them sit idle (though don't waste supplies making things if you are very low). If you know you are not going to be playing for a while, like at night while you're sleeping, make things that take a long time, like mushroom grog, cakes, black lotuses, etc. Then they'll be ready when you come back.

  • When visiting a friend don't just help the first three things you see. They may have a business or house that is under construction and that might help more. Also help lower level businesses since they need the sales so they can be upgraded.

  • Buy another sheep! You will need the wool! It sucks just having one.

  • Speaking of another sheep, here is what I recommend spending Flooz on in order of most useful:

    • An extra sheep
    • Second Nyok's house
    • Second workshop
    • Log camp
    • Studio upgrade to level 2
    • Nyok's house 1 upgrade to level 2
    • Nyok's house 2 upgrade to level 2
    • Workshop 1 upgrade to level 2
    • Workshop 2 upgrade to level 2
    • Nyok's house 1 upgrade to level 3
    • Nyok's house 2 upgrade to level 3
    • Workshop 1 upgrade to level 3
    • Workshop 2 upgrade to level 3
    • Studio upgrade to level 3
  • Never make a sheepie beanie, even if you can finish a train load with it. It requires 50 pieces of wool and that is a huge amount. Just load what you can (especially things you may have a lot of, like shells, mushrooms, or fish), send the train on its way, and wait for the next one.

That's all I have for now. Remember, a lot of this is just my opinion. Please feel free to reply, pm me, add me in Happy Street, or whatever. Good luck!
