going to try this later. damn thanks for the share. what do you do most on your phone?
Browsing while listening to music on SoundCloud or with Shuttle, about 1 hour of Youtube, and 1 or 2 movies on Netflix.
What rom are you using?
Is this kernel only for aosp ROM or can I use it for my stock mm?
I've only tested it on aosp. I'm not sure if it works on stock.
What rom are you running along with tweaks/themes/status bar? Your rom looks so polished and clean.
Euphoria 1.1. The theme is H2os and I use the Flat Style Bar Indicator xposed module for the status bar.
Thank you!
How I once got over 6 hours screen on time. Step one : lower your brightness to 0. Step two: put your phone into airplane mode, and leave your screen to always on.
Step three: leave your phone on the whole time for 6+ hours. Step four: come back after a couple of hours and see how much screen on time you got. Step five: post it in reddit saying that some magical tweaks and roms will achieve such a good screen on time. That is one of the ways to get such magical screen on time. Trying to play with the tweaks and governors won't reach you such screen on time.
Funny, but I was actually using my phone. I had wifi on and I was at 50% brightness. Maybe you're right, though. Playing with cpu governors and getting better battery life is only placebo effect. I have absolutely no idea why this setup gave me better battery life than the other ones I've tried. Do you?
I have never seen a difference when tweaking the settings. I always have 50% brightness, with WiFi on the whole time. The maximum I get is 3 and a half or 4 hours screen on time. Sometimes it's less when leaving my phone on idle. When I'm using my phone after a full charge for 3 to 4 hours, then I might achieve that number.
