Squalor & Love
*Squalor & Love for Salinger;*
*A 28 line; “Seymourian Sonnet"*
I.
A word has never moved or changed; lies precisely
on sheets anyeverywherever whore-poets’ unpack
them with label lost Crayola’s called, um anthropomorphic,
I think, for had not, within in the same hm-a-space-hm-a-time,
physicality, like…arbitrart, concurrently-centered,
however fleetingly, JD and she, co-earthly-breathed -
lungs deciduously expanded, deeply maple-sticky and clean;
lungs pneumothoraxic, distended of hotdog-flavoured vapour.
Non-sequitur: there are 19 non archaic words for
unresponsive; herein, as to metempsychosis: she is JD.
(Etymology of the word, metaphor, myriad and chang’d
root in Greek term - used to mean to transfer -from whom,
to whom, what is borne beside the auxiliary Latin stem -
the puissant pulse of the poet, planted in the phrase?)
II
The puissant pulse of the poet planted in the phrase:
cult-myth secrets discovered, sophmoric and naiively. A
Textual caress, a sentence-catching-sentence-Hold(en);
“Fuck You!” orally orated at school? Texting louder: idgaf,
then, a co-ed, likens Glass of syntactic simile as to mirrors -
are metafor (more or less, carniesque) here, soul, mirror-flat.
JD and she; call out with ironically ironic irony, eyes and mirrors,
She and JD watch Anoxia fade life-like-fog; meta-mirrored-dead.
Still, eight years more before (a)new read, finding incandescent
poetry finally finding my world of wholly new-immobile words.
(Buddy, like a crab, I went; though my eyes no longer shine
with misinformation, they coruscate, flicking in suspension,
suspended cigarette embers, weeping, at last in the wind.
A word has never moved or changed. Lies, precisely.)
