Physical Description: Gerald is a large, well-built young man, having worked long, hard hours building various products with wood. Although not particularly tall, Gerald is taller than average at 6'2". Along with his large height, Gerald is extremely well built, weighing in at 220 lbs. Impossible to miss, Gerald has various scars from years of being hit with a switch all across his back. Most of the time, it is impossible to notice, except when he takes of his shirt to work on a ship where the layers of scars paint a terrifying picture.

Gerald has a very hard face with eyes like stone and a face that matches it. He has a deep set eyes and a small nose. His hair reaches down to the nape of his neck, but despite its length, he makes no real attempt to make it neat. On the other hand, his beard is his pride and joy and he takes great care in assuring that it is perfect.

Gerald usually wears a white cotton dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up just past his elbows and a sleeveless leather jerkin. He also wears a pair of blue pants with an intricately woven belt. Slung from the a loop on each side of his belt are his two bokken. Around his neck, he wears a simple pendant, which is the only memento of his former life. It belonged to his mother who died a few years after Gerald was born. Most of the time, this pendant is kept underneath his shirt, rarely seen as an everyday occurrence. When working, however, Gerald takes off his jerkin and shirt to reveal a sleeveless white shirt that showcases his brawny arms and broad shoulders. Also, Gerald usually takes off his shoes to be able to get better purchase on surfaces like the hull of a ship.
