Sleeping Less and Lightly
Normally 7 hours is my optimum amount of sleep. It's the amount that makes me feel and function best.
I'm on day five of keto though and I'm only getting 5-6 and I'm not sleeping as deeply. I wake up a couple times per night. I still feel great and I'm waking up at the 5-6 timeframe without an alarm and feeling rested so I'm not really sure it's a problem. I'm just curious if other people experienced this. Most references I've seen to sleep have been about getting more and it being deeper. This seems to be the opposite of my experience so far.
For reference, I've been running a 30% deficit, 7-12% carbs, 20-30% protein and 60-70% fat. Goal macros according to the keto calculator would be 6/24/70 so I'm slightly high on my carbs and working to bring it down a little more this week.
