This game would benefit more than most from in-game VOIP
Title. This game is explicitly team-based; it's one of the features that differentiates it from previously standing MOBAs. It's a fast-paced game where communication is important.
Being able to talk to your teammates is a massive advantage. At this point you either type in game, sit in a room with friends, or convince people to jump on Skype/Curse/Vent.
If it's the middle of a fight and Entomb is about to come off cooldown, I don't want to walk out of danger and type "ent in 5, aiming morales or tyrande" before marching back in the fray. It breaks the flow of the game, and yet how else am I supposed to convey this specific and potentially vital information?
I understand that there are other priorities and I'm glad those being handled. But in-game voice chat would be a huge quality-of-life upgrade that could allow uncoordinated teams to have a shotcaller, discuss the merits of getting the boss, plan a more advanced strategy than "let's fight them at the objective," etc.
Of course you're always going to run into people who are toxic with voice / who abuse it somehow, so there would of course be a readily available, fully functional mute system in place.
Anyways, I've played previous MOBAs with voice chat and while I didn't always feel compelled to use it, it was exceptionally helpful when I did.
