FireTV2 - 4k content doesn't fill screen

Any/all 4k content that I've tried (both Amazon and Netflix) doesn't fill the screen of my LG tv - there is a black border around the picture.

Similar issue here but looks like that wasn't resolved.

Anyone have any success with fixing this?
