Drugs cured my depression.
Not sure if this belongs here but also don't know where else to post it.
I was battling depression for years. I can't remember any time in my life when I could say that I was happy. But recently, as part of a backpacking trip through most of Europe, I went Amsterdam. I took hundreds of pictures of every city I went to except Amsterdam where I took like 12 because I spent most of my time getting high and feeding ducks in the parks.
On one night, I smoked a joint, ate a box of psychedelic truffles, smoked a joint, had a beer, and spent the next six hours watching the walls breath and discussing philosophy with my mattress. That was as close to [11] as I'll ever get and it was probably the most enjoyable trip I have ever had, but at the time, or even in the following days, i wouldn't have called it life changing.
But I've been reading about shrooms and other psychedelics curing people's depression and, looking at things now I have to say it must have worked for me. Since Amsterdam I am happier than I have ever been. I feel consistently good and even have a smile on my face just walking down the street.
Just wanted to let everyone going through dark times to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. There will be better times, even if you have to eat a box of psychedelics to get there.
