Community Recognition - Week #2

It's been a really busy week for us, hitting 6k subs, the community event videos coming out, and on top of that another Online Test! You've all been really great in helping new people feel welcome and keeping the positive vibe strong for our awesome community.

If you remember back to last week we made a post stating our intention to recognise a community member each week for being particularly awesome.

The moderators have been making individual lists throughout the week whenever we see something and think "that's awesome!". We then put all of the names together to make our final shortlist, and discuss our reasons for nominating everyone. We then individually rank the members from top to bottom. This week we had a short-list of 7 people we thought were particularly awesome, so the top of the list would get 7 points and the bottom would get 1. We felt this is the fairest way to individually choose a winner without bias or influence.

We have decided after much deliberation that this week our outstanding community member was... u/Myth! Here's why we thought he deserved the Paragon hoodie:

• A generally friendly and welcoming attitude - This is the most important one, and it's going to be the most important one each week. The whole reason we want to make a big thing about this is to encourage the awesome community to stay awesome. If you're friendly and helpful in general, you'll be in with a chance to bag yourself a hoodie in the future too!
• Offering to coach new players - Myth took it upon himself to offer new players some free coaching to help them get into the swing of things a little faster. This is a great initiative that also made other veteran players come out and offer their help too. This butterfly effect is a great thing for the community, and we encourage ideas like this as they have huge impacts on everyone else.
• Organising an art contest - Not content with just coaching, Myth decided to give away his friend invites to anyone who wanted a shot at some Paragon fan art. Community contests like this are things we're looking to do ourselves, and we encourage people to get in contact with us if they'd like to run initiatives like this themselves!

Congratulations, and enjoy the Paragon hoodie! For the rest of you, we're still running this for another 4 weeks, so stay awesome and you'll be recognised too. We're all very close with the subreddit, so we will notice it, I promise!
