How much will grow tents smell if you use a carbon filter?

Obviously, I'm just starting out. I've read the beginners guidelines and haven't come across an answer to this question.
Grow tents aren't going to be air tight. So obviously, some smell will leak out. But how much? Or will the negative air pressure cause all of the smell to go through the filter instead of escaping?
