I was too honest during interview... Is there a way to come out on top?

Went on an interview at a location that used to be one of my customers that I took care of. When they asked "what happened at x?" I was honest...brutally honest.

There was some tension bwtn myself and one of my managers. One of my customers needed more attention than others... I requested for escalation/more resources. My managers didnt want me helping them. I had to tip toe around both customer and managers. Client caught on and complained to sales. Managers got on me for not helping the client more than I should.

I am naturally honest and very trustworthy... I was thinking of tying that in to a follow up email to schedule second interview.

What are your thoughts?
