Stuck on map loading screen after character creation.

I recently got a beta code, I opened up the game. Went past the Pearl Abyss intro screen, made my character. Afterwards, I'm on the loading screen for the map and after a few minutes it always tell me I got disconnected from the server. The game then shuts down. Can somebody help? (I tried uninstalling and reinstalling)
