What graphics card did Macbook Pros get around 2012, and how well do they hold up now?

Title. I'd like to buy my girlfriend Firewatch on Steam; right now she's using a Macbook Pro she got around 2012. Steam says the game requires Nvidia or ATi GPU with 1GB Memory graphics cards, but I don't know what she has in her laptop and don't want to ask if I don't have to so she doesn't suspect anything. Does she have the hardware requisite to run this thing, or should I get her something else?
