Weekly Scala Ask Anything and Discussion Thread - February 21, 2016

Hello r/Scala,

This is a weekly thread where you can ask any question, no matter if you are just starting, or are a long-time contributor to the compiler.

Also feel free to post general discussion, or tell us what you're working on (or would like help with).
