Crime is crime and it all should be investigated!

I know this is reality these days but with modern technology, large databases containing finger prints, and nearly instant searching with fast computers, I don't understand why ever single time anyone's home or car is broken into the police don't take fingerprints, run them, and go arrest the person.

I went out to my car this morning to look for my jacket and someone had gone through everything and thrown papers, owners manuals etc, all over the car. Luckily they did not notice my dash cam as it is hidden behind the rear view mirror. Also they didn't take my stereo system but I kinda wish they did as I want an excuse to buy a new one. Anyways, there are finger prints all over that car. They removed my first aid kit which is in a clean plastic box. The glossy manuals would also have finger prints. The button to open the dash pop-up lid.. I am the only person who is ever in that car. Any print that is NOT mine would be theirs.

In California you have to be finger printed to get a drivers license. Your finger print is in a data base.

Yes, I know it just isn't worth anyone's time to do that much work but I mean c'mon. Train some students in criminal justice from the local community colleges to drive around collecting finger prints and filling out reports for lab credit or something and maybe they will get a match.

People's homes and cars should not be a free for all. Instead we have Prop 47 : http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2015/08/16/prop-47-california-has-lighter-sentences-more-crime/
