Need advice introducing SO to DL activities

Well, I've been lurking here for quite a while and finally decided to make an account for this post. I'm a longtime DL, used to be real ashamed and secretive about it until I found out there were other people like me. So before I ask for your advice, thanks ABDL community for being a haven for people like me.

Anyway. I'm lucky enough to have landed a really wonderful lady. We've been together about 5 years now, we live together, all that. I first told her I was a DL like 4 years ago, and did it really awkwardly (my 1st time admitting to anyone). Initially she was hurt because I'd kept it from her, which makes sense. But she was very understanding, asked questions, and showed general open-mindedness towards the whole thing. She mentioned she'd "try anything once" and I got real hopeful.

Later on in the year I got her to wear with me one time, but I kind of shot myself in the foot because I was still nervous/paranoid about doing this with someone else for the first time. She looked pretty comfortable when she put it on and asked, "So, do you pee in it or anything?" I punked out and said no--imagine if I'd said yes!--so we just kind of cuddled in diapers and watched TV for a while. She said later it wasn't bad, and I wanted to do more but didn't know how to move forward after lying. So life went on. I continued doing DL stuff by myself and she never prodded about it.

Here we are a few years later and I still wish I'd had the guts to take things to the next level with her. I'm getting some cushies in the mail next week; I'm fairly certain she'll say yes to wearing them with me. My goal is to involve her more with wearing diapers, and wetting them if I can persuade her (I'm not shooting for diapered sex or anything). But I don't know how to ease her into it, or how to help eroticize diapers for her. I want to make this upcoming session with her successful--what do I do? Any advice welcomed and appreciated. I know I might've been bad at framing the question :x

TL;DR my GF already knows I'm a DL and I'd like advice/anecdotes about what to do with her once I get her in diapers, to familiarize her in a comfortable way while trying to make her feel sexy too
