Awful supplement - 1 star or tell seller I can't review?
ETA - the shellfish warning is on the label but not listed anywhere on the Amazin listing page. There are 5 other allergy warnings on the label but not the listing. That definitely makes me more inclined to leave a review.
Idon't usually go for supplements, but I accepted one for hair growth because it's a product I would buy anyway. However, I can't test it. Here are my issues:
- The smell is rancid. I can't open the bottle without gagging.
- I touched one to my lip and my lip started burning. It happened a second time, too.
- The label says the pills may have shellfish contamination. I am violently allergic and don't want to risk two days of puking. This wasn't listed in the offer, but I need to double check the Amazon listing.
All of these things are important and I'd want to know as a buyer. But, I didn't actually test the product, so I don't know how many stars I should give. And I don't know if I can actually write a review when I haven't taken the pills. And at least the smell issue is subjective.
So what would you do? I'm not new to reviewing - my rank is 36,xxx and I have a lot of votes. But I'm new to reviewing products this way, where I get them essentially for free. I'm tempted to ignore the review entirely. They came through a site I've never seen anyone mention on here. That site doesn't often have good products, so I dont care if I get banned. But at the same time, I'd want to know this stuff as a buyer. So, idk.
edit: added something dumb. Then deleted it because I'm dumb.
