Socialism as a Machiavellian downspiral
I'm curious on the opinions of Socialists on this. On an ethical level the general argument for Socialist is that is okay impede a rich person's freedom because it provides freedom for a much larger number of people. But where does this the "ends justify means" logic end? Would it, for example be alright, to force people with room in their houses to house homeless people? In that case the ends would outweigh the means. This is just one (somewhat weak) example. I'm happy to hear people's thoughts, sorry if I was very clear.
