Just a guy, looking for Dating advice
So, some of the advice I've seen other guys get elsewhere doesn't seem too helpful. I guess I think that you ladies might be able to give me better advice or opinions("Straight from the horse's mouth" as they say) instead of just "Swipe right constantly on tinder" or "BE ALPHA,bro" which doesn't particularly help.
I mean, I'm looking to date girls- does it make more sense to ask women what they look for?
Okay, so... I'm a 21 year old guy, final year college student. I'm in the tech industry. I'm doing pretty well for myself in that sense: and have a job lined with a top company, but for all that "success" in one area, I'm doing horribly in another. I've never had a real relationship. I mean, I've had success before, but that all came from them approaching me. Neither lasted more than a month or two. They were lovely and all, but I think they were just feeling lonely rather than being into me.
Anyway, I'm a pretty unconfident person. I was born with a cleft lip and though I had it repaired fairly young, the scar really affects my confidence regarding looks with the opposite sex. I'm not the bastion of "male stoicness". I'm a sensitive kinda dude(I've been called a teddy bear) which, as I've been told, is bad.
I'm currently working out my own issues now through counseling and just trying to appreciate myself for who I am, so I thought it was time I actually really tried to put myself out there. It's like I have this whole lot of love I want to show and give, but I have no one to give it too. I'm just looking to be happy, and to make someone else happy.
I think a big part of it also seems to stem from just not really being in places when I can meet girls- this subreddit knows all about the situation with STEM, so I don't really meet many girls in my classes.
So, any advice regarding where to meet people, and the best ways to let them know I AM actually into them without being some weirdo, would be greatly appreciated. Like, what are the DO's and DON'T's when it comes to dating?
