Looking for an idea for a 4th year programming project [Studying Computer Games Programming]
Hello everyone!
I am slowly approaching my 4^th & final year as a student in Computer Games Programming with only a few half baked ideas as for what to do for my final year project.
I was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction or spark a couple new ideas for me to expand on.
So far, i have looked into
- Distributed computing
Using a small/medium cluster of raspberry pi's i would be looking at off-loading complex physics/AI calculations to the cluster in an attempt to increase complexity but maintain performance in a physics/ai demo.
- Procedural Generation
Having spent the past 2 years working on a rogue-lite as a hobby I'm definitely interested in looking at implementing/analysing algorithms in new or interesting ways. This could cover 2D/3D terrain generation, to dynamic content/weather e.t.c
I would like to remain in the realms of C/C++/C#/Python/JavaScript but i am open to suggestions.
The project would need to define a problem, and propose a solution whether it is original research or expanding on an existing idea
Thanks in advance :)
