Find a number around a target number?

Hi - I'm not sure what this is called or how to calculate it.

Say I have the number 5, and I want to locate numbers around it based on a tolerance of 3. So my result would look like: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

Apologies if this is a simple solution. I'm not great with math.
