What's you opinion and experience with nexplanon?

I'm 17 and looking into birth control options before I go to college next August. My boyfriend and I are also sexually active so that's a big push. My parents are supportive of birth control and willing to take me, I just need some help deciding. I've really become interested in nexplanon but was wondering what some of your experiences with it were?
