Anyone have any experience with JVC DV decks? (xpost r/techsupport)

I have a JVC BR-DV3000 DV/MiniDV deck, and it has been giving me some issues. Recently it has been going into this mode where th e power/"operate" LED will blink green and I can't eject a tape or even power off the machine without unplugging it. At first I was able to just unplug/replug, and then it only worked when I rebooted my computer, and now it doesn't want to work at all.

I downloaded the manual and it says nothing about this behavior. It says when there is a VTR error the LED will blink red, but nothing about green.

Anyone have any ideas?
