After four years I came back and i'm lost!

So I played the game right at launch, played a Necro until 80 and had some slight fun with the professions. I just grabbed HoT in a daily deal for 28€ because I was looking for a game to play anyway and the Revenant class and endgame changes seemed really nice to me.

So I'm now lv12 and I'm pretty lost lol^^ Currently playing the human main story because I never experienced that. Any tips for returning players? Or should I pretty much just play through the storylines? (I'm not that much into PvP)
