Three years coming. One week to apply.
So I have absolutely no credentials other than the fact that I have an excellent GPA and walked across America after high school. I want to get into Harvard University as a transfer applicant. Deadline is next week. Haven't started an essay.
I want to make this happen. This application is the reason I made the walk. So much shit has happened to me these last two years I don't even know if I could handle it if I got in.
I got a 4.05 GPA, a 32 ACT, a 2190 SAT, two teacher recs on the way and a compelling life story about a walk that changed my life. Only thing is I actually lived it and felt the struggle, and all I can do is laugh about it. Having a hard time coming up with something accessible to write about.
I'm in Atlanta and if I don't make it into Harvard, I'll go for UGA. I'm at State right now and it's not great, but it's free and I live at home.
I went for Brown after high school and made it to the interview which went great, except I'm a dumbass and said that the wiki article for Brown was the only wiki page I'd ever read the whole way through.
I'm about to Skype with my little cousin and teach her Hebrew. I'll be back in a half hour.
What's stopping me is knowing I've gotten by on figuring things out. Not being genuine. Playing people. Being smart rather than being studious.
I need to stick to what I know.
I should pursue Jewish studies. Ancient Hebrew. Languages. Unlocking the meaning in millennia.
You know what it smells like to walk across America, by the way? Piss, and listerine.
