Rant. JAGC and school career center

So, not sure how other law schools go about things. But at mine we have the 'career center' where three people are employed full time to help students find internships, jobs and post graduate jobs. Fall of my 2L year (just a few months ago) we have OCI's (on campus interviews) and the JAGC (air force) was marketed as a spring internship position for the local base. I went to the one for JAGC - learned about one program and started my application. Cool. Went. Did well. applied. Myself and a few other people kept in contact waiting to hear back. Never did.

Spring OCI's just rolled around. Another JAGC interview. I went into the Career center to expressly ask if this is for a summer internship - "yes". Get to interview and lo and behold, its just a practice fucking interview. No you have to apply online. And guess what there was a student (currently working with the JAGC) there to give advice. What? Oh, well you see there was an opening... (she wasn't from the group from fall). Well too late now for spring. So they say, go online apply this way. No this wasn't an interview session for the local base.

Well online now, the USA jobs link and search reveal nothing. Assuming that its no longer open for the summer. So basically I can't do an externship my 3L year, and have been screwed up by both the JAGC officer from fall and now blocked for the summer. Looks like I probably can't do anything for JAGC during law school and its going to be near impossible after graduation. Good bye dreams.
