Cheapest way to ship something the size of a pack of cigarettes?

Need to ship something the size of a pack of cigarettes from the west coast to the east coast. What would be the cheapest way to ship this? A padded envelope? One of those boxes meant for CDs? And where from? UPS, USPS, or FedEX?
